Originally the name of Adelphian's annual yearbook, "The Shiawassian" became a monthly newsletter published by the school and used as a fund raiser when students were challenged to sell subscriptions each fall.

AA graduate, Carroll Post of Jacksonville, Florida resurrected the newsletter and published "The Shiawassian" with Alumni news quarterly for several years. Sadly, Carroll passed away on July 11, 2006.

In addition to current Alumni news, the publication featured "A Stroll Down Memory Lane" with reprints of articles from old issues of the Shiawassian.

Anyone who attended Adelphian in 1962 may remember the Shiawassian trip to the Bear Mountain Ski area in Grayling, Michigan. Reg Smith, Editor of the Shiawassian at the time, has written an article called "The Last Run Down the Mountain" which will bring back memories.
